In Chapter One, we look at the three previous education revolutions in history that preceded the AI or fourth, which allows us to see its impact with a sense of perspective. The last revolution began 500 years ago and, for all the impact of new technology and digitalisation during the last fifty years, the task of teaching and the classroom/lecture hall remains fundamentally the same as it was in 1600.
