Level 3 organizations have processes that are well characterized and understood. Projects establish processes based on an organizational set of standards. Some effort is made to set objectives for processes and measure progress toward those objectives.
Der SE- Prozess ist so definiert, dass seine konsistente Implementierung abgesichert ist und ein Modell zur Verfügung steht, auf dem ein besseres Prozessverständnis aufgebaut werden kann. Es kann eine neue Prozesstechnologie auf kontrollierte Weise eingeführt werden.
